These terms apply to every student who enrols on a classroom or online course with IPA – The Institute of Professional Accountants (“IPA”), E-54, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. Together with the enrolment form, they form the agreement between IPA and the student.

1. Definitions

  • Agreement: these terms, the enrolment form, and any instalment or credit agreement for the course.
  • Student: the person named on the enrolment form, to whom IPA provides the course.
  • Course: the classroom or online course named on the enrolment form, with its related materials, support and tuition.
  • Fees: the course and registration fees stated on the enrolment form.
  • Materials: the notes, documents, recordings, software access and other learning material IPA provides.
  • External examination: any examination not run by IPA that a student may take in connection with the course.

2. Enrolment and fees

A place on a course is confirmed when the enrolment form is completed and the fee (or first instalment) is paid. Fees are non-refundable once a student has enrolled, whether the course is classroom or online; see the refund policy. Where fees are paid in instalments, each instalment is due on the date agreed on the enrolment form.

3. Batches and attendance

IPA schedules batches and may change a batch’s timing, trainer or format (classroom or online) where it needs to, and will tell the student in advance. Students are expected to attend regularly and keep up with the practical work.

4. Placement guarantee

IPA’s 100% job guarantee on diploma programmes is subject to the student’s performance and IPA’s criteria. It consists of sending the student to interviews; the student is responsible for the interviews. The full conditions are set out in the placement guarantee terms, which form part of these terms.

5. Materials and intellectual property

All course materials remain the intellectual property of IPA or its licensors. They are provided for the student’s personal study only and may not be copied, shared, resold or published. Software provided or accessed through the course is subject to its own licence terms.

6. Certificates and external examinations

IPA issues its course certificate to students who complete the course requirements. External examinations are run by their own bodies under their own rules, and IPA is not responsible for their results, schedules or fees.

7. Conduct

Students are expected to behave professionally towards trainers, staff, other students and, during placement, employers. IPA may suspend or end a student’s enrolment for serious misconduct, in which case fees are not refunded.

8. Liability

IPA provides its courses with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, IPA is not liable for indirect loss, including loss of earnings or opportunity.

9. Changes and governing law

IPA may update these terms; the version in force when a student enrols applies to that enrolment. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Delhi have jurisdiction.
