The stock market course in Delhi at IPA is a 2-month course, in class at Laxmi Nagar or live online, on how Indian equity markets work: market mechanics, fundamental and technical analysis, risk management and portfolio basics. It is run by IPA – Institute of Professional Accountants, Laxmi Nagar (since 2003), and is open to 12th-pass students and graduates from any background, with no prior market experience needed.
It is a knowledge course. It is not a job-placement programme and not a route to guaranteed trading income. The honest aim is to help you understand what you are buying, size your positions sensibly and recognise when a “tip” is not worth acting on.
Trading carries a real risk of loss
Before you enrol, look at what India’s market regulator has found. SEBI reported in August 2026 that 87.7% of individual traders in equity futures and options (F&O) made losses in FY26, with an average loss of about ₹1.17 lakh per trader (SEBI, PR No. 50/2026). An earlier SEBI study found that 7 out of 10 individual intraday traders in the equity cash segment made losses (SEBI, July 2024).
No course changes those odds by itself. Invest or trade only with money you can afford to lose, and be most careful with derivatives and intraday trading.
Advice and tips need SEBI registration
SEBI warns the public against trading on tips from unregistered persons. In India, nobody may act as an investment adviser without a certificate of registration from SEBI, unless an exemption applies, and research analysts are regulated in the same way. Completing this course does not qualify you to give paid stock advice.
Who is the stock market course for?
The course suits anyone who wants to understand how Indian equity markets work before putting money into them. It is a 2-month course, in class at Laxmi Nagar or live online, open to 12th-pass students and graduates from any background, and no market experience is needed. Mr. Sanjeev, a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of experience, teaches it. You learn market mechanics, fundamental and technical analysis, risk management and portfolio basics, and you work through published company results and charts rather than tips. It is a knowledge course, not a job-placement programme, and it does not make trading safe: SEBI’s studies above show that most individual F&O and intraday traders lose money. It fits best if you want to invest your own savings with more care, read annual reports with confidence, or understand the shares and funds you already hold.
- Students and graduates who want to understand markets before putting their own savings in.
- Commerce students and accountants who want to read annual reports, ratios and results with more confidence.
- Working people who already hold shares or mutual funds and want to understand what they own.
Who it is not for
- Anyone expecting to replace a salary through trading within a few months. The SEBI data above is the reality check.
- Anyone whose main aim is an accounts job. An accounting diploma such as the BAT course is the better route.
- Anyone aiming for a dealer or sales role at a broker. Those roles typically require NISM certification; for example, NISM-Series-VIII (Equity Derivatives) is the specified standard for approved users and sales staff of equity derivatives trading members (NISM).
What you will learn to do
- 01Explain how exchanges, brokers and depositories work, and use market, limit and stop-loss orders correctly.
- 02Read a company’s balance sheet, profit and loss statement and key ratios to judge its financial health.
- 03Read price charts, trends and common indicators used in technical analysis, and know their limits.
- 04Apply risk management: position sizing, stop-losses, diversification and risk-reward thinking.
- 05Understand margin trading and derivatives well enough to see why they magnify losses as well as gains.
- 06Build and review a basic portfolio, and follow the economic indicators that move markets.
The advanced module introduces algorithmic trading and portfolio management as concepts. Treat these as awareness, not a system to trade with.
How IPA teaches the course
Classes run in the Laxmi Nagar classroom and in live online batches. The course is taught by Mr. Sanjeev, a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of experience whose areas include tax, audit, company law and the stock market. Teaching leans on analysis and risk control rather than tips: you work through published company results and charts and are expected to justify every view you form.

Stock market course fees at IPA
The stock market course fee depends on the batch you pick, classroom or live online, and any offer running when you enquire. Ask what the quote covers: study material, the beginner, intermediate and advanced topics across the two months, and the IPA certificate. The counsellor also explains the payment options: instalments or an education loan facility.
When you compare stock market course fees with another institute, check that the course teaches how to read a company and a chart and how to manage risk, rather than promising returns. Call or WhatsApp 9213855555 for the figure.
Stock market course online: live batches across India
Alongside the classroom batches at Laxmi Nagar, the course runs in live online batches, so you can join from anywhere in India. Each online class is live on Zoom with the trainer and covers market mechanics, fundamental and technical analysis, risk management and portfolio basics over two months. Because the class is live, you can ask about a chart or a company’s numbers while the trainer is explaining them.
- The syllabus and certificate are the same in the classroom and online, whichever city you join from.
- Recorded lectures on IPA’s own LMS help you revise, and weekday and weekend batches are available with flexible timings depending on your batch, so working professionals can join too.
- A free demo class is available.
- The course teaches how markets work; it does not promise trading profits, and trading carries a real risk of loss.
IPA’s other live online courses, from Tally and GST to the diplomas, are listed on the online accounting course in India page.

If your real goal is a steady finance job, an accounting diploma is the direct route; see which accounting course is right for a job and diploma courses after 12th commerce. It works well as a personal-finance and analysis skill alongside that.
Placement: what to expect
This is a skills course. IPA can offer general placement assistance, but trading income is never guaranteed and broker and advisory roles usually need NISM certifications and, for advice, SEBI registration. If a job is the goal, our accounting diplomas are the longer route.
